Available grades and NF EN 12591 compliance

The road bitumen supplied by E-Station meets the NF EN 12591 standard, which governs the penetration grades used in France for asphalt mixes and wearing courses. We cover the common grades — 35/50, 50/70 and 70/100 in particular — with 50/70 remaining the most widely used reference on French road projects. The choice depends on the region's climate, traffic intensity and the type of layer concerned.

The French climate ranges from the cold winters of the north-east to the hot summers around the Mediterranean: a harder grade limits rutting under heavy traffic and high heat, while a softer grade better resists cracking in cold weather. Delivery and lead times in your country

We deliver bitumen in insulated tanker trucks, in formats suited to site and asphalt plant volumes: a full tanker holds around 25 to 30 tonnes. This delivery method differs from an export cargo shipped in bulk by sea or in containers — for international supply, see our dedicated offer below.
