The cost of inspection is marginal relative to the value of a cargo of 500 tonnes or more. Skipping it to save on this item is like insuring your house against fire except on the day of the fire.<\/p>

The clause that locks everything down<\/h2>

Inspection only truly protects if it is a condition of payment. In a letter of credit transaction, require that the inspection report be among the documents the seller must present in order to be paid. The result: no compliant report, no payment.
